Experience STEAM in the Streets with hands-on learning, interactive activities and live demonstrations from more than 30 exhibitors. All activities are free, and aim to inspire students to iMAGINE their future.

Come play a game with a robot and learn how how Team SPORK builds robots for their competitions.

Explore how your brain talks to your body! Race to put pegs in our pegboard as fast as you can to to see who wins the competition of fastest hands! Learn how your brain processes what you hear when you try our auditory word game, and take on our proprioception challenge to see which side of your brain runs your body!

Learn all about how Native Americans, like the Catawba, harnessed the natural environment to create strong materials and try your hand at making your own Native American inspired cordage. Become a culinary chemist and learn how acids and bases were used to preserve food in the colonial era. Explore the technology behind the Backcountry's early textile production. Become a junior archaeologist and learn how we know what we know about the past.

Who knew there was math involved? You'll learn to break re-breakable boards by following a simple equation: F=(mv)t. Start by maximizing the force you exert on the board by increasing mass. Do this by using the weight of your whole body and striking the board with your hand/arm. Maximize your velocity/speed by following through with your strike! Can you do it?

Team SPORK is a high school robotics team located at Pine Lake Preparatory in Mooresville, North Carolina that competes in the FIRST Robotics Challenge. We are given six weeks to build a robot from scratch under strict rules and limited resources. Each year, we have the unique opportunity to compete in an original game with similar teams within our state and even around the world!

Times: 11:30 AM | 2:30 PM | 2:00 PM | 3:00 PM

Come play “Minute to Win It” style games on stage with your friends and family. Beat the other players and win a prize!

Times: 12:00 Noon

A local acoustic duo, he's a little bit country; she's a little bit rock n' roll! This duo plays popular music from the 40's and 50's all the way up to modern-day classics.

Excerpts from the musicals Frozen Jr. and Aladdin Jr.

Times: 1:30 PM

Palmetto Dance Productions is a dance studio located in downtown Rock Hill that accepts students ages 2-adult. For this show, competition students perform 3 dances.

Times: 2:30 PM

Singer-songwriter from Charleston playing a set of originals with a couple of covers sprinkled in.

Times: 3:30 PM

The USK Martial Arts Demonstration Team will put on a live show. It will consist of board breaking, music, choreographed drills/routines and weapons demonstrations.
