Can you build a balanced plate? Using the USDA’s Real Food Guide to School Lunch for Families as our guide, students will explore healthy eating through a fun, hands-on sorting activity. Participants will examine realistic food models and decide whether each item belongs in the fruits, vegetables, grains, or proteins category, placing them in the correct bins. Along the way, students will learn how different foods fuel their bodies, discover the importance of making nutritious choices, and take home educational resources to continue the learning with their families. Test your nutrition knowledge and see if you can sort them all correctly!
